According to a new forecast by CSS Insight, about 560 million 5G-capable smartphones will be sold worldwide in 2021 alone, bringing the number of global 5G connections to 637 million.

“5G will have to be available to everyone, we broke the ice and must now introduce new networks across Croatia, not only for ‘fun’ or to be ‘fashionable’ but because it’s hard to imagine any industry investments without fast communication systems.”

On Thursday, Hrvatski Telekom became the first on the domestic market to present the capabilities of the 5G+ network, reaching speeds of up to 4 Gbit/s and network response time of only ten milliseconds. The 5G+ network is based on the 26 GHz frequencies ensured by HT in the 5G spectrum auction, which ended in August.
