The 5G race is heating up between companies competing to provide their customers in remote areas with fast access to space-based internet.
In a market first, A1 Croatia is offering home internet via the 5G mobile network. With premium devices, the user will get quality broadband access. This is another contribution to the balanced development of Croatia and the provision of a level playing field for work, education, and even entertainment in areas without adequate fixed infrastructure, the telco reports.
Freedom House analyzes the level of internet freedom year after year, and their latest annual global report, that included 70 countries around the world, showed an alarming situation. Of the 4.5 billion people who use the internet, 40 percent, or 1.8 billion people, don’t have the privilege of free internet.
2021 marked a revolution of sorts in the world of technology and telecommunications in Croatia – 5G networks were deployed and HAKOM allocated frequencies for the development of 5G across multiple spectrums.
