The telecommunications company A1 Croatia has confirmed today that it was exposed to a cyber attack, as a result of which the personal data of 10% of its users were breached, more specifically, their names and surnames, addresses, personal identification numbers, and phone numbers.

The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) has confirmed that A1 Croatia reported the incident in the form of unauthorized access to the user base and the threat of publishing unauthorized data. The telco must now contact all users whose personal data has potentially been breached.

One of the largest Croatian IT companies Infinum has, via its investment branch Infinum Ventures, invested in the Zadar travel-tech company Rentlio. Rentlio automates the operational and sales processes of hotels, hostels, apartments and other tourist facilities.

Following the approval of the Croatian Competition Agency, Telemach Croatia has completed the acquisition of a controlling stake in Optima Telekom. By taking over the package owned by Hrvat-ski Telekom (HT), Telemach now holds 54.31 percent of Optima Telekom shares, of which 36.9 percent used to belong to the Zaba bank and 17.41 percent to HT Holding, a company completely owned by HT.
