Rimac Automobili has announced the delivery of the first Nevera hypercar to a customer in the United States. The car was handed over by Rimac’s New York-based dealer, Manhattan Motorcars, in the presence of the Rimac team.

During a session at CES 2023 in Las Vegas last weekend, a panel of experts said that 5G wireless connectivity and other smart city-related technologies may soon deliver on their promises as tech companies, local governments, and others develop new uses and business cases.

Juniper Research reveals there will be more than 367 million connected vehicles in worldwide use by 2027, up from 192 million this year. This 91% growth will be driven by advances in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and the increasing capabilities of in-vehicle infotainment systems.

The neighboring countries joined the initiative to ban the sale of petrol and diesel vehicles after 2035 – five years earlier than the previous plan – as part of efforts to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy.

The companies will work together on a software platform, including the creation of a Digital Twin to try out cutting-edge AI capabilities virtually.

Vehicles will soon be able to interact with one another thanks to a system called C-V2X, or cellular vehicle-to-everything technology, with the aim of saving lives in the process.
