The September “Wonderlust” event of the U.S. tech giant brought the presentation of the new line of iPhones. Here’s what we know about Series 15.

The annual event which this year took place on September 12th at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California, saw the debut of the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The premium iPhone 15 Pro is Apple’s first model made of titanium, and has a new button on the left side, and a USB-C charging port on the bottom. As announced after the EU passed the new directive, Apple was forced to replace its Lightning port with USB-C on all new devices.

At first glance, the iPhone 15 Pro looks the same as last year’s Pro version. However, thanks to the titanium construction, the latest model is significantly lighter and has more rounded edges than before, so it sits better in the hand. Apple says that titanium allowed them to make the edges thinner, so the screen seems bigger even though it has the same dimensions.

The new button on the left side, previously the ringer switch, has become the Action Button that can be customized to run shortcuts, bring up accessibility features, open the camera, turn on the flashlight, and more.

All Series 15 models come with an OLED display including the so-called Dynamic Island, which was previously only available on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. They are powered by the A17 Pro chip (except for the base model which still has the A16 Bionic), the industry’s first 3nm processor, which gives it additional capabilities. Apple says it is 10 percent faster than the previous model, while the 6-core CPU inside the chip is 20 percent faster.

The iPhone 15 has an upgraded triple 48-megapixel camera. You can now change your default lens and shoot at multiple focal lengths (24mm, 28mm, and 35mm) within the main camera. The iPhone 15 Pro Max also offers a 5× optical zoom – the most ever from Apple, thanks to its new periscope lens – with up to 120mm focal length.

Prices in Croatia will be around 1,050 euros for the flagship model with 128GB of storage, around €1,200 for the iPhone 15 Plus, around €1,300 for the iPhone 15 Pro, and around €1,450 for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. They will be all be available for purchase in stores in 40 countries around the world starting from September 22, 2023.
