Term:

FREQUENCY

The frequency is a basic property of the electromagnetic wave through which we transmit data (communicate). The number of ridges or troughs of a wave, formed at a given time, is called wave frequency and it is the opposite of wave period. Wavelength and frequency are connected by the propagation velocity of radio waves, which is equal to their mathematical product. So, if a wave has a very high frequency, it has a short wavelength – and vice versa.
