Australian telecom TPG has completed a 12-month smart-farming trial at the Tamworth Regional Livestock Exchange in New South Wales, featuring the automation of counting cattle which could potentially save farmers time and money.

As part of a new agriculture project, partners 5G RuralDorset and Qualcomm will test mmWave 5G technology for farming solutions, including autonomous vehicles, robots, and big data analytics.
