Term:

MOBILITY

The term mobility describes the ability of the user to move arbitrarily when using a network. Hence the name ‘mobile network’. Mobility includes wireless network access and mobility management mechanisms. By contrast, in fixed networks, access is provided only in certain locations (e.g. by installing a network cable), not accounting for user movement.
