LTE (Long-Term Evolution) is a fourth-generation (4G) wireless standard that provides increased network capacity and speed as well as higher peak data transfer rates than 3G, initially up to 100 Mbps downstream and 30 Mbps upstream. It is intended for both voice and data services.
