ACCESS AND MOBILITY MANAGEMENT FUNCTION

The Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) is a control plane function in the 5G core network according to Service Based Architecture. It is used for the registration of user equipment (mobile device) on the network, as well as authentication, identification, and mobility. So, it performs all the processes related to providing access to the user and their mobility.
