The telco plans to install and operate its own 5G Advanced Network Solutions for Formula 1’s Las Vegas Grand Prix race scheduled for November 2023.

The carrier will upgrade the essential infrastructure everywhere surrounding the 3.8-mile course as well as in the new paddock, garages, and pits in order to permanently boost its 5G network.

This Saturday, as part of a race launch party, T-Mobile’s network will assist in running a show that involves 400 drones lighting up the night sky – considering T-Mobile has invested in and partnered with the Drone Racing League.

Although specifics have not yet been revealed, T-Mobile also promises to give fans immersive, 5G-powered experiences. On the other hand, their rival Verizon similarly deployed its 5G ultra-wideband network for the inaugural Miami F1 Grand Prix in May.
