The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, successor to the popular S23 model, has been unveiled as the ultimate Android phone for 2024, marking a new chapter in the world of mobile technology. Although it retains its recognizable visual identity, it brings numerous significant innovations that make it one of the most advanced devices on the market.
The case of the new model is made of titanium, instead of the traditional aluminum case. This material, known for its durability and scratch resistance, further improves the quality of the device without increasing the weight. The front of the phone is adorned with an improved 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a variable refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz and an impressive 2,600 nits of brightness. In addition to the aesthetic improvement, the new Galaxy Ultra (unlike its predecessor) has a completely flat screen.
The device is powered by a modified version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chip. With a starting 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory, the Galaxy S24 Ultra provides exceptional performance, while those with a need for more storage can choose a model with up to an impressive 1 TB.
Artificial intelligence plays a key role in the Galaxy S24 Ultra experience. In addition to features such as Live Translate, Interpreter and Chat Assist for two-way translation of voice and text in real time, the new model also brings advanced tools such as Note Assist for managing notes, Transcript Assist for transcription of audio recordings and Circle Search for easy search using cameras.
The camera system has also been improved, with a new 50-megapixel telephoto 5x sensor replacing the previous 10x sensor. Other sensors include a 200 MP main, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide and an additional 10-megapixel telephoto. The selfie camera on the front has 12 MP.
Additional innovation comes in the form of the ProVisual Engine and the latest ISP Block, using AI to reduce noise in photos. Tools like Generative Edit for filling gaps and deleting objects, Instant Slow-mo for slowing down parts of the video, Nightography for improved night photography, Super HDR and others make the camera extremely powerful.
The 5,000 mAh battery remains unchanged , with support for 45-watt wired and 15-watt wireless charging. In terms of the software side, the Galaxy S24 Ultra comes equipped with One UI 6.1 based on the Android 14, providing users with seven years of support.
The price of the baseline version of the new Galaxy Ultra, currently available for pre-order in Croatia, is 1,499 euros, while the most powerful model reaches a price of 1,799 euros. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra promises to set new standards in mobile technology, combining innovative design with high performance and superior camera quality.
