Croatia’s first “unicorn startup” Infobip continues its series of successful business moves and acquisitions.

The latest news from the leading IT company in the region is the finalization of the agreement to acquire the US company Peerless Network, a global Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) provider. The acquisition enhances Infobip’s presence in the United States and allows the company to expand its voice offering worldwide, creating a global one-stop shop for omnichannel communications. The purchase is estimated to be worth around $200 million.

Thanks to this deal, Infobip’s clients can now access the US market through Peerless, whose nationwide voice network covers 98% of Americans across 49 states. In return, Infobip offers Peerless Network’s client’s access to its market-leading communications platform-as-a-service (CPaaS).

Infobip’s latest business venture comes following acquisitions of U.S. messaging powerhouse OpenMarket, the world’s top SMS firewall provider Anam, the developer Shift Conference franchise, and business/tech portal and publication Netokracija.
