This award is the result of an analysis of 764,172 samples collected from all fixed service providers in Croatia over a six-month period between April and September 2021. It reflects the real user experience of more than 10,000 lines tested in the following categories: download speed, upload speed, and latency. Hrvatski Telekom ranked the highest among all service providers on the market.
By winning the “Best in Test” award, HT has cemented its status as the leading network provider, the company notes.
Our broadband network plays a crucial role in connecting Croatian citizens and businesses, allowing them faster Internet access and the best possible network experience. We are fully committed to this goal, as evidenced by the largest investments and the fact that Hrvatski Telekom is building twice as many fiber-optic networks as all other market participants combined while raising network quality and speed throughout the fixed network. And we do it all over Croatia, in cities and towns, suburban and rural areas. We are proud of the award, which reflects the real user experience, and we will continue to build, connect and further improve our network. —said Boris Drilo, Member of the Management Board and Chief Technical and CTIO of HT.
In line with its investment strategy, HT is focused on the further construction of fiber-optic infrastructure and the expansion of the fixed network. With FTTH, it currently covers more than 435,000 households and the company says its is well on its way to having a record year – for the second year in a row – in terms of new household coverage.
