Term:

MASSIVE MIMO

Massive MIMO is the technology used in the fifth generation (5G) of mobile networks to allow sending and receiving of more than one data signal on the same channel at the same time by using multiple antennas (usually more than 64), thus improving the data rates between the transmitter and the receiver. Massive MIMO enables the simultaneous implementation of beamforming (directing radiation towards the user) and spatial multiplexing (increasing the data rate per user).
